I have always felt reverence and wonderment toward the gifts and lessons nature provides for me.  It is often easy to live in our society and feel detached from nature in our daily lives.  However, the more I experience this life the more I am called to find my own place as a part of the natural world.  I started to look at the products we were being sold in stores, from the food we eat, to the products we clean our homes with, to the beauty products we clean our bodies with and I realized that most of these commercial products weren’t aligned with my own priorities.  I wanted clean, safe, and natural products.  I wanted to understand what was in the products I used.

 

What began as an extension of this love of nature, the study of herbs, and gardening soon turned into a passion to create clean, safe, and natural products for my own family using the goodness of the earth.  For years I have been making my own cleaning products to use in my home.  I have been studying herbs and using their wisdom to make supportive recipes for my family, from tinctures, to salves, to teas, and more.  

 

In recent years I decided to try making my own soap for myself and my family.  The adventure of making cold-process soap spoke to the artist, herbalist, scientist, and naturalist in my heart.  I began making more and more soap and giving it to friends, family, and coworkers.  Eventually more and more people started asking where they could buy my soap and so Treasures Studio Soaps was born.  It is my wish to share at least a small part of my love for beautiful products made with the goodness of nature.
